L'Inde a gagné son indépendance le 15 août 1947, mais jusqu'au 26 janvier 1950, il n'y avait pas la loi appropriée pour gouverner le pays. En cette date particulière de 1950 la constitution de l'Inde est entrée en vigueur et l'Inde est devenue un vrai état nation avec un vrai sens de souveraineté et de république. / India gained independence on August 15, 1947 but till January 26, 1950, it did not have the proper law of the land for ruling the country. On this particular date in1950 the constitution of India came into force and India became true nation state with true sovereign and republic sense.
Aujourd'hui, le jour de la République est célébré avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme dans tout le pays et particulièrement dans la capitale nationale, New Delhi. / Today, the Republic Day is celebrated with much enthusiasm all over the country and especially in the national capital, New Delhi.
En cette occasion, le Président octroit des médailles du courage aux personnes des forces armées pour leur courage exceptionnel sur le terrain et aussi aux civils, qui se sont distingués selon leurs différents actes de courage dans des situations variées. / Then, the President comes forward to award the medals of bravery to the people from the armed forces for their exceptional courage in the field and also the civilians, who have distinguished themselves by their different acts of valour in different situations.
Pour marquer l'importance de cette occasion, chaque année une grande parade militaire se déroule dans la capitale du pays suivie d'une reconstitution historique de plusieurs scènes représants des activités des gens des différents états indiens, de leur musiques/chansons. Chaque "tableau" révèle la diversité et la richesse de la culture de l'Inde. / To mark the importance of this occasion, every year a grand parade is held in the country’s capital. The parade is followed by a pageant of spectacular displays from the different states of the country.
These moving exhibits depict scenes of activities of people in those states and the music and songs of that particular state accompany each display. Each display brings out the diversity and richness of the culture of India .
